Survey on Client-Side Deduplication

Cloud storage is a remote storage service, allowing users to upload and retrieve their data anytime from anywhere. Data De-duplication, a technique that eliminates data redundancy, becomes essential as the amount of data outsourced explosively grows. Secure De-duplication techniques for cloud data have been proposed to identify specific security and privacy issues, leading to a vast selection of options and trade-offs. This paper provides an overview of different techniques and various algorithms used in client-side data De-duplication and enlighten the advantages between them.
